Case Study: Growing through Acquisition

The Client: Leading Financial Services Company

The Challenge: AQL’s client wants to grow through acquisition through the purchase of successful privately owned insurance brokers. It has no database or prospect list. It doesn’t know where to start.

The AQL Solution: AQL works with the client to establish the criteria of brokers it might wish to purchase. Initially we need to research the market. We do this using resources including highly specific databases, trade publications, networking and Company House information. We make initial investigative calls on behalf of our anonymous client, asking questions of the proprietor to further quality the prospect.

The Result: From those prospects AQL qualified against the clients criteria, meetings with 20 potential opportunities were made. Negotiations continue with those on the client’s short list.
